Defiance is a game I have been eagerly anticipating for a good few months now, I am such a geek when it comes to sci-fi games and movies! Defiance actually has both of those, even it’s own TV show (which I haven’t seen yet). I got Defiance on Steam last weekend and have been playing the absolute living hell out of it! I can safely say it has been one of the most addictive games I have played in over years of gaming, most of that is probably due to the fact it is an MMO and has a sense of progression to it.
My problem with Defiance was that towards the start you are literally bombarded with information such as controls, locations, etc. They don’t really explain how to do a lot of things in-game, such as efficient ways to build your EGO, learn new powers and perks. One thing that I really, really wanted when I first started playing was some of those cool vehicles! But I was never told where I even visit to purchase these said vehicles, I had to ask other players in-game!
A couple of days later, I was searching online for tips in Defiance (visiting the forums, guides, etc) and came across Defiance Secrets; a brand new Defiance leveling guide that 
boasted it had all it needed to get you on your way in the game. This included information on the best weapons, best builds layouts, best EGO making methods, and more. The guide cost me $24 to purchase, however at the time that was not much for me at all, I decided to buy it!
Upon first look, I could see the person had really put some time & thought into this guide, he was really enthusiastic about Defiance and helping players who had bought his guide. It comes in several different chapters in a PDF file, these chapters were as follows:
- Mission Guide – Provides you with a step by step leveling guide for EVERY Mission! Every mission is currently covered in the story as well as side missions, hotshot missions, rampage missions and time trial missions.
- Leveling Guide – Shows you the fastest route through the game and the quickest way to be gain XP, get mods, scrip and more…
- EGO and Perks Guide – Defiance Secrets will also give you an in-depth guide to how EGO works and the four powers you can choose for your character.
- Weapons and Mods Guide – You will need to know your weapons if you want to survive in Defiance. There are lots of them and they all react differently! Some give you a huge amount of recoil, some are only good for short range, some only good for long range and others are not worth bothering with.
- Enemies Guide – Gives you a guide on the enemy and what you will be up against in Defiance. All of the enemies behave differently and all have different weaknesses. Once you know the weaknesses to exploit you will make faster progress!
- Vehicle Guide – Vehicles in Defiance are awesome! This guide will give you the lowdown on the different types of vehicle and which one is the best.
- Pursuits and Boosts Guide – To level fast you will want to concentrate on pursuits which are achievements you can unlock for rewards. The guide shows you how you can increase your EGO rating faster by unlocking Pursuits!
And there writer also throws in a lot of bonuses in the guide, such as beginner tips & tricks, hidden in-game locations useful for leveling up, and much more!I have read the entire guide now, and there is so much information it is hard to remember it all. Therefore I now use the guide as more of a “Go to” book for Defiance, if I am confused about something in-game, or I want to get a specific weapon or vehicle, the first place I will look is the Defiance Secrets guide! I have yet to be let down by this guide, it really covers so much that it is hard to be disappointed.
I can highly recommend the Defiance Secrets guide to any players out there who are enthusiastic about playing the game! If you are looking for more information on the content found in the game, Defiance Secrets is the guide for you! Or if you just want to have more EGO than the other players your level, you will not regret purchasing the Defiance Secrets guide!
